I have had this scene in my mind for over a decade - it is a perfectly good boat
resting on the sandy lagoon bottom of Piper's Lagoon in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island.
Although it was an arresting scene my problem was how to paint it with the same feeling
I had when first I saw it. Seen through today's eyes it's reminiscent of Al Gore's
global warming
but in fact it is quite innocently the result of low tide, and the yacht's owner, who lived nearby,
was happy ten years ago to "berth" it in this sheltered lagoon where he could keep an eye on it!
The original painting in oils on stretched canvas is available, simply drop me a line.
Also, giclee reproductions on stretched canvas can be made available 11 x 14 unframed.
These quality prints are priced at $150 each complete with a certficate of authenticity.
