I came across this scene at Rithet's Bog in Victoria BC. The land has been given to the city by the famous Guiness beer family.
I was drawn by the strong composition and I chose to paint the trees and grass in SYMBOLS - by their shapes and colours the objects should translate into a credible landscape.
I also used the principles of the colour wheel to boost the chroma of the colours, relying on what the colours SEEM relative to each other, promoting their respective brilliance.
With it comes my own personal feeling of joy and wonderment of the land and it's effect on us as people.
