Next to the shape of a woman, a hull is one of an artist's best-liked shapes to paint.
The clinker built strakes are so popular and practical in rough water that makers of
glass fibre dinghies keep producing the retro look. It is classic and functional.
I doubt whether these two are related but both are essential for my composition.
