As an artist I looked beyond the beard and saw that Trefor has the quality of stillness,
probably carried through the ages by his forefathers. I found this very quality in the mountains above Llanberis, Wales.

Watching him at the pulpit it seems he can suspend time - as if he can snatch it like a dove from the air,
hold it in his hands for a brief moment, and loft it back into the sky again...
