The Mohave desert is sacred ground to a number of tribes, many of whom passed through this wash in the tri-state corner of the USA.
I have spent weeks sleeping in the desert, taking photographs and making sketches - walking for miles with a metal detector finding relics
and avoiding poisonous snakes, skirting creosote bush, teddy bear cactus - just relishing the experience of being there.
I am hoping that this feeling of open geographical expanse will communicate with you the viewer,
and that you too will enjoy the calm and wilderness that my painting might give you...
